Antóin is an Irish fiddler who grew up in County Cavan and now lives in Ashbourne County Meath. He is one of Ireland’s best known traditional fiddlers. Antoin has always played mostly in sessions rather than on the commercial circuit and is a widely recognised performer and teacher of the fiddle.

In his competitive years he was winner of all the major fiddle competitions including All-Ireland Senior Fiddle, Fiddler of Dooney, Fiddler of Oriel and Oireachtas.

He has toured on many occasions with Comhaltas and given workshops at various events including Elkins, West Virginia, Boston College, Irish Week in the Catskills, and Cascadia.

He has recorded ‘Ar Aon Bhuille/Matching Beats‘ with Cape Breton pianist Hilda Chiasson, ‘Doorways and Windowsills‘ with Mick O’Connor and the newest release, ‘Tunesmith’ with Charlie Lennon.
