Dundalk Railway Heritage Society - 21st January

On Saturday the 21st of January the Dundalk Railway Heritage Society is presenting a lecture called The Des Casey Memorial Lecture By Charles Friel. Charles Freil is a noted historian on Irish Railways he is a member of the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland and has presented lectures on Irish railways in Ireland and in the UK The lecture will be an illustrated presentation featuring photographs of local railway interest some of which are being shown for the first time. Charles would be delighted to hear from people who may be able to identify personnel in the photographs.
This Lecture is in memory of Des Casey. Des Casey was a founding member of the Dundalk Railway Heritage Society and served as chairman for many years. Des made a major contribution to the operation of the society. He sadly passed away in August of 2022. if you would like to join the Dundalk Railway Heritage Society an annual membership is €10.
