This second volume of transcriptions of Irish fiddle playing focuses on Munster and includes most of the older generation of fiddle players from that area who can be heard on commercial recordings. As with the first volume, the transcriptions include the bowing as well as the notes. The recordings from which they were made consisted of commercially available ones, plus tapes made by Séamus Mac Mathúna on behalf of CCE, and by David Lyth.
