Aistear 2030 event- 'Alfi' In Concert

This is one of a series of 6 events which will mark the launch of the new Comhaltas Prospectus 2030. The Oriel Centre and Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann's 'Aistear 2030' willl take place in the historic surroundings of Dundalk Gaol.

Alfi are an award winning Irish trio who perform and arrange music/songs from the Irish and American folk repertoire. The instrumentation is quite unique with Alannah Thornburg on Irish Harp, Ryan Mc Auley on Five String Banjo and Fiachra Meek on Low Whistle, Bodhran and Uilleann (Irish) pipes. What makes the line up unique is the unusual blend of instruments along with rich harmonious sound, blend of the instruments & three part vocals together. Each of these instruments play a vital part in the Tradition of Irish music and American music.

The Aistear Series forms part of the new Comhaltas Prospectus and ADMISSION is FREE.
